As part of Altimeter Design Group, I worked on a variety of brand identities for new entities in the global security and foresight space.

We collaborated with the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) as they were establishing the International Biosecurity and Biosafety Initiative for Science (IBBIS), an independent organization dedicated to reducing emerging biological risks associated with technological advances. A core element of the IBBIS mission will be strengthening international biosecurity norms and developing innovative, practical tools and incentives to uphold them.

Altimeter was asked to design an approachable yet reliable identity that visually fits within the spheres of biosecurity and biotechnology but with a forward-looking, innovative edge.

The Ibis bird became the primary visual due to its symbolism and cultural connotations: it epitomizes adaptability, guidance, and communication, all core values of IBBIS.
